Autumn in the mountain

Get climbing in the Dolomites!

Hiking & mountain climbing
The mountains of South Tyrol hold a special place in the hearts of our senior proprietors, Isabella and Günther. No matter whether you prefer leisurely walks through the Eisack Valley’s chestnut groves or are an enthusiastic mountain climber - the two of them are always available with great hiking tips and suggestions for trips. And sometimes they even like to join in when it comes to scaling the heights! No wonder - the best hiking destinations are practically outside our front door. On the alpine pastures around Feldthurns, Barbian and Villanders, for example... or in the UNESCO world natural heritage site of the Villnöss and Gardena Dolomites.

Did you know?
From May to October, Klausen tourist information association offers up to 5 guided mountain tours with certified hiking guides every week. Naturally for every level of fitness and at all altitudes.

Pedalling in South Tyrol

Mountain bikes & e-bikes
There’s plenty for enthusiastic cyclists to get their teeth into in Klausen and the surrounding area. The nearby alpine pastures and Dolomites between the Villnöss valley and Val Gardena offer countless possibilities for your next adventure on a mountain bike or e-bike. Casual cyclists too will find plenty of variety - for example on a ride on one of South Tyrol’s cycle tracks. In short, no matter whether you’re an experienced pro or a casual pedaller, there are great routes for everyone here.

Did you know? You can borrow high-quality e-bikes from the Spitalerhof if you book in advance. We also have our own charging station.
